Céad Míle Fáilte
Rugged coastlines, fresh Atlantic air, live music that sings of our history, that famous Irish hospitality, cosy pubs, dark pints, stone ruins as old as time, and a bucket list trip with your community.
An intro from your Derry Girl tour guide
Dia Duit, Lisa here, founder of Ginger's.
I don't believe there's a country on earth quite like Éire, and I want to be able to provide and share this experience with 14 others who have this on their bucket list. I've personally mapped out this route myself over the last few weeks, visiting my favourite pubs, the most scenic hidden gems, sampling more than a few Guinnesses (for research purposes only, obviously), and finding the live music and experiences that really show why our country is one of the most welcoming, stunning and healing places on earth (and I live in New Zealand, so I don't say that lightly).
I grew up in Derry, Ireland, started my queer events career in Manchester, and later moved to New Zealand, where I've spent the last few years building a national events, podcast and community platform, which has now branched to Australia too. Multi-national award winning, which still makes my mammy proud.
Now it's time for the Big Lesbo Getaway, back on my home turf.
I grew up in a very politically divided part of Ireland, and I stand by the fact that our people are the kindest, most resilient and funniest in the world, even against all odds historically and still today. I also have a real special interest in Irish folklore and fairy myths (or are they?), so be ready for some stories of legends, curses and Gaelic traditions along the way. Consider yourself warned, I will bring up the fairies a lot more than once. I also plan to put you in a whiskey barrel full of Irish seaweed to give you the softest skin of your life, I'll immerse you in our nightly music culture, I'll get you milking some cows or gathering turf from the bog for the fire, and I promise you, I will make sure you experience the warmth of the Irish firsthand.
This is genuinely open to anyone, anywhere in the world, not just NZ and Australia. Wherever you're reading this from, as long as you can get yourself to Shannon Airport on the day, you're in. The price is in NZD as Ginger's is registered here, but you can pay by card in your own currency directly to the ticketing site once we release.
Filling out the form means you're serious about making this a reality in Sept 2027, and aware of the costs. It'll give you first access to our ticket link, so you'll have time to think about it, price flights and make your dreams come true.
If you're based in NZ or Aus, I'll personally put you in touch with one of our community members at Flight Centre to help you get the best bargain on flights and make sure you're looked after.

Charged in NZD since Ginger's is registered in New Zealand, that's about £2,860. Pay by card in your own currency at checkout. Figures below are today's estimate and will move a little by the time tickets go live.
Worth knowing
Every spot on this trip is precious, we've only got room for 14 of us, and once you book, we're turning away other people who wanted your place. Because of that, all payments are non-refundable once made.
Your spot is always transferable though. If life happens and you can't come, you're welcome to pass your place on to someone else, no drama, no losing your money to us, it just changes hands.
Travel insurance with cancellation cover is required for everyone joining this trip. Sort it early, ideally right when your ticket's confirmed, so you're covered if you need to cancel. Good policies cover a lot more than people expect: sudden illness, a family emergency, even jury duty. If something covered comes up, your insurer pays you back for what you've paid us.
The only time we'll refund you directly is if the trip itself doesn't go ahead. If we don't reach our minimum numbers, you get every cent back, deposit included.
Registering your interest doesn't book you a place, it just gets you first access when tickets go live.
